Out of this World

Out of This World is a colourful side-scrolling shoot-'em-up designed by Bettertech, the company run by James Poole and Gary Yorke, and published by Ariolasoft under the Reaktör label in 1987 for the Commodore 64, Amstrad CPC and ZX Spectrum. Eight looping worlds combine enemy waves, collectable weapon pods and enormous end-of-world Guardians. A playable browser restoration preserves the Spectrum loading screen, reconstructed CPC artwork and Jason C. Brooke's original C64 SID music.
