Ziggurat

Ziggurat is a 1988 isometric arcade adventure developed by Tigress Designs and presented by Ariolasoft's Reaktor label. The preserved title screen provides direct contemporary credit for the production: the game was written by Chris Sawyer, designed by Tigress Designs, and features graphics by ALK.

Players explore a maze-like structure on a treasure hunt, navigating interconnected rooms while avoiding their inhabitants and making use of a selectable inventory. The controls include jumping, firing, laying a lure, reversing direction and manipulating objects. Contemporary coverage advised players to draw a map as they explored.

The surviving credit screen is particularly valuable because it distinguishes Tigress Designs' design role from Sawyer's programming credit, explicitly displaying the words 'Written by Chris Sawyer'.
